How To Become An Internet Radio Dj

A fun job where you can connect with thousands of people and entertain for your living is to be a disc jockey, also known as a DJ. It is a dream job for people who love music, people, and entertainment. There are many different approaches for the type of show and audience you want to connect to. You have a radio program that discusses politics, religion, life's situations, or music for example. You need pizzazz, a "radio voice," and a few other components to become a disc jockey. Here are some tips on how to become a DJ on a radio station on the Internet.
One of the most important components for this job is knowledge. You have to be an expert on the topic your show is about. If you are a DJ for a music station, you should know as much as possible about music. Most stations are genre specific, so you should know all the top hits, musicians, and style of music. Radio stations on the Internet are both genre specific and mixed. Usually there are links to a type of genre on one site. If you are the DJ for all channels on the site, you will have to immerse yourself in music knowledge. You can only be a great and well liked DJ if you are playing the type of music that people want to hear on the station.
After you have gained knowledge about the topic you want to DJ about, you will need the necessary materials and technology. For the Internet, it will be very important that you have a fast connection if you are working from home and streaming with a station online. The host will have a minimum connection speed and bandwidth that you will need to stream properly without interruptions. You will also need a microphone and a laptop or computer with a lot of memory and speed. If you are hosting an Internet radio music program that already has a playlist, you will need to familiarize yourself with the music they want to play. Others will require that you develop your own playlist. The playlist you compile should include top hits from the music genre you are broadcasting.
Once you have the right technology and an awesome playlist, you will need to find the Internet Radio station that you want to DJ for. Do you want to be part of a company that is streaming talk shows or music? What genre of music are you the most knowledgeable about? You will need to do a lot of research about the radio station, the type of music or talk show they stream, and if you would be a good fit or not. Once you have selected the Internet radio station you want to work with, you can send a resume, sample playlists, and samples of your voice.

What is Dj and how I can do it?

DJ means disc jockey, is a person who plays musical recordings for a living. This may take place in a variety. Therefore, the exact role of the DJ may vary depending on the setting or the purpose of the music.
Radio DJs introduce and play music that is broadcast on AM, FM, shortwave, distal, or internet radio stations. DJ is to work for a radio station responsible for playing musical selections from a play list that has been provided by the the station. This play list is developed by the management to reach the target audience of the station. DJ for a radio station may be responsible for answering the question from listeners, conducting interviews with musicians and related and declaring commercials as decided by the radio station. DJ has little authority over when the particular music is played.
DJs are also providing music at a wedding reception. In this case, the DJ may receive a play list from ordered person. Alternatively, the ordered person may select a particular genre and leave it up to the DJ to select the songs to be played. DJ at a wedding reception also takes requests from those are present. The wedding DJ may also announce when special events are about to take place, such as the throwing of the bouquet. The wedding DJ generally interacts with the audience in order to encourage guests to dance and have fun.
DJs are plays music at a bar or a club. A DJ at a club similar to those of a wedding DJ. A club DJ may not take musical requests. DJs mix tracks beforehand in order to create recognizable songs with fun beats that encourage dancing.

Learn to use DJ here, read my disc jockey equipment reviews. I have been hanging at clubs and parties for about 3 years now and want you to share the experiences I've had. If you want to know the basics on the equipment and some advanced stuff on mixing then you have come to the right place!
To keep the crowd's energy up you as the DJ must use your equipment skillfully. The crowd may have no idea what you are doing but they will appreciate the results. Those people in the crowd who do know about DJing will also respect your skill and ability to keep your cool in a thumping club, in front of a big audience. It's not easy to make a nice tight, smooth mix for hours on end.
you need to maintain the right level of energy
keep people dancing all night
don't cheese out the hardcore crowd
don't play too hard and annoy the ladies
try to avoid blowing up the sound system (going from very loud to permanent silence isn't clever)
When mixing, the different pieces of disk jockey equipment must all be used skillfully (like a musical instrument). If you don't know how this is done then you have come to the right place!DJ equipment may consist of:
Sound recordings in a DJ's preferred medium (e.g., vinyl records, Compact Discs, computer media files, etc.);
A combination of two devices (or only one, if playback is digital) to play sound recordings, for alternating back and forth to create a continuous playback of music (e.g., record players, Compact Disc players, computer media players such as an MP3 player, etc.);
A multiple Sequencer which can mix MIDI tracks with Digital Audio
A sound system for amplification or broadcasting of the recordings (e.g., portable audio system, PA system) or a radio broadcasting system;
A DJ mixer, which is an electronic (usually 2- or 4-channel) audio mixer usually equipped with a cross fader used to smoothly go from one song to another, using two or more playback devices;
Headphones, used to listen to one recording while the other recording is being played to the audience; and
Optionally, a microphone, so that the DJ can introduce songs and speak to the audience.
There are many advantages if you shop for DJ equipment on the Internet. You will be able to get a better price than retail and you will be able to get the exact products you want.After looking around on the Internet for some DJ equipment for myself I found a best DJ equipment online store (http://www.PowerUser.be), there is a massive range online and that almost any product manufactured can be found and bought. This makes shopping online fantastic as I did not have to settle for whatever brands my local store could get.

Great Tips on How to Become a Dj

First of all, becoming a radio DJ is not as simple as one might think. There is much training involved as well as classes that youll need to prepare you on how to become a DJ. Whether you want to work at a local radio station or a national broadcast station, youll still need education and training. If you are a high school student, you should fill your schedule with as many speech classes as possible, including extracurricular activities like drama and debate. However, if you have already graduated from high school, then consider taking classes at a local community college or accredited broadcasting school in your area. Why should you take speech and debate classes to become a DJ? Ask yourself this question: How often do you hear radio disc jockeys stumble through their sentences or say umm while they are on the air? Not very often. Knowing how to speak fluently and with articulation is very important when learning how to become a DJ. You should be able
to speak clearly and precisely even if you are not familiar with the topic.While attending college or broadcasting school you may be able to sign up for an internship, which will help you learn how to become a DJ. Ask your school about paid and unpaid internship opportunities. You could be closer to becoming a DJ with a radio internship on your resume. Also, consider working part time at local parties as a DJ to provide you with more opportunities to practice working in front of people instead of in a radio broadcast booth. Becoming a DJ is hard work and you will have to be resilient if you find that radio stations do not accept you as an intern or if the internship is not exactly what you expected. There is always an opportunity to learn if you keep an open mind. Learning how to become a DJ is not only about introducing music. You must also be able to read commercials, give news reports including weather and traffic, and conduct interviews. So speaking to people and in front of groups will help improve your speaking abilities. This is where all those speech classes will come in handy. In addition to taking classes, you can also record radio programs and then practice repeating the spoken parts to advance your speaking abilities. Do this many times until you can read the entire segment without oral in
consistencies or long pauses. Perform in front of friends and family, and also try to get small gigs at local weddings, house parties, small bars, and other holiday related events.Another great tip on how to become a DJ is to go where radio personalities are making public appearances such as a grand opening of a new store, a charity drive or any other local event. Be an observer and hang out by the radio personalitys tent or broadcasting station, and when he is not on the air ask the DJ a few questions about how he became a DJ. Ask if you can shadow him sometime, or just sit next to him and watch and listen while he is at that event. Carry a business card or other paperwork with your contact information as well. You may be surprised when you get a phone call or email inviting you to tour the radio station and talk to the radio DJs while they are working live on the air. Whatever you do to learn how to become a DJ, be persistent, learn
as much as you can and then keep on learning, be passionate about it, and of course, become a student at a local accredited broadcasting school to ensure a future of success.

Content, as they say, is king. As an online radio presenter, you've got to be the best of the best. But how do the top radio presenters sound so natural and yet interesting. What's their secret? Is it just talent?
The answer is hard work and yes a bit of talent. Behind the scenes preparation has to be done. Preparation behind the scenes is the key. Chris Evans, the UK's Radio 2 national breakfast DJ, believes every link needs has to have essentials such as a beginning, a middle and an end.

But preparing links in a middle of the show is hard. Imagine a ticking clock, a microphone staring at you and your station manager on the other end of his radio.
So here's the key. Write down links before the show is going out. They don't have to be fully scripted but can just be a few ad lib notes. This is much easier to do then making when something up on the spot.
If you are stuck for link ideas, just look around you. Talk about your personal life in general. This could be about going to school or busy roads near you. But what content do you put into your links? Look around you, talk about personal life. Observation will help produce really good content for links.
The secret to sounding like a pro as an online radio DJ, preparation.
