Planning Your Wedding on a Budget - Relationships - Marriage

Getting engaged is a wonderful and exciting time in a couple's life. However, it can also be a very expensive time. You want the very best, but if you are on a tight budget, it can be really stressful planning a dream wedding that you can afford. Fortunately, there are many simple things you can do that will allow you to have a perfect and memorable wedding, even if you are on a tight budget.

Listed below are a number of tips to help you plan a wedding on a budget:

Create a Budget: Before you make any wedding plans, calculate how much you can afford to spend on the big day. Without a detailed budget, you could end up spending too much and end up taking years to pay off the debt. Once you have determined how much you can afford to spend, you should make a list of all your wedding expenses. This can include expenses for such items as invitations, hall rentals, decorations, food, wedding cake, music, etc. Once you have a list of your wedding expenses and an approximation of the costs of each expense, you can then look for ways to cut down on each cost so you can stay within your budgeted amount.

Establish a Wedding Account: If you plan your wedding many months in advance, then you will have the opportunity to save a substantial amount of money. For instance, you can set aside a certain percentage of each paycheck and deposit it in a special account specifically for your wedding. To ensure that you can still afford your regular bills, you can cut costs in other areas of your life such as dining-in instead of eating at restaurants, renting a movie instead of going to the movie theater, carpooling to work with friends, bringing your own lunch to work, etc. You can also consider getting a part time job and set the money aside for the wedding.

Cut Wedding Costs: If your budget is small, you will need to come up with ways to lower your costs. For instance, have your close friends and family help you with tasks such as making homemade decorations and wedding favors instead of buying expensive items. You can even use your own computer and software to make homemade invitations. You could also use a DJ instead of hiring an expensive band. A buffet style wedding dinner and asking family members and friends to each make a special food dish also lowers the cost.

For the Bar, consider more affordable beer and liquor and even having a cash bar. Smaller size weddings are much more affordable than a large wedding. Go through your guest list to see if you can cut down on the number of people who will be attending the wedding. When considering a wedding gown, look for special sales and check out second hand clothing stores. Remember, holidays and spring time tends to be an expensive time to have a wedding because there are more couples getting married making it difficult to get deals and discounts.

Because an average size wedding can cost about $20,000, it can take a significant bite out of your bank account, and even leave you with a huge debt. When you have a detailed budget and budget plan, as well as planning well in advance of the romantic day, you will end up with the wedding of your dreams.

Promote Your Band With Fun Promotional Products - Advertising

Your band may have started out as a fun thing, but if you want your music making to be more than a hobby, promotion will become a part of your life. Promotional products and business gifts can give your band a leg up on the competition and help boost your band's bookings and music sales off the charts.

More and more bands are taking their marketing into their own hands these days - and that means knowing a little bit about how to design promotions, choose promotional products and business gifts and create a long-range marketing plan. Here are a few of the ways that you can use promotional products as part of marketing your band and earning money doing what you love.

Leaflets and flyers are promotional products. Many companies that specialize in promotional products employ professional design departments that can help you create outstanding flyers, leaflets and promotional postcards that you can use to publicize your band, concerts and bookings. Hand out promotional postcards before concerts and offer a discount at the door for admission to anyone handing one in.

Use promotional products to create additional income streams.Put your band on a t-shirt, visor, cap or promotional mugs and sell them at concerts and appearances, as well as offering them from your band's myspace or web page. You get double benefits when you sell promotional items, especially those that "travel" with their buyers. First, you get income from the sales. Second, and perhaps more importantly, you get more exposure - of the most valuable kind. When fans wear or carry promotional products and advertising gifts with your band's name, logo or photos on them, they'll be telling others that they LIKE your music and publicizing it. Fan recommendations are the highest form of praise - and the most effective type of publicity you can get.

Order promotional products for special events and parties.Attending a battle of the bands or holding a release party for a new CD? You'll need banners, paper products and promotional giveaways for the fans that attend. Fun and celebration go hand in hand with promotional products - balloons, Frisbees, bracelets and other fun toys can be imprinted with your band name and/or logo and go home with your fans. Add in t-shirts for attendees and every person who wears one will be publicizing your band or event.

Hand out promotional products for other giveaways.Radio station play can make or break a band - and radio DJs are always looking for novel and interesting ways to engage their listeners. You can garner extra publicity by handing over a dozen printed mugs, promotional pens or t-shirts to radio stations for them to use as prizes in trivia contests and the like. Again, you'll get double exposure - first you get the radio exposure, then you get the visibility when your promo products are used by their recipients.

There are many ideas for unique promotions and publicity events that you can use with promotional products to publicize your band. For more ideas, contact a sales representative for a company that specializes in promotional products.

For further information on corporate business gifts, items and custom printed advertising marketing products why not visit the market leading online suppliers today. Top online promotional gifts suppliers can provide a fast and efficient service and more often than not can provide highly competitive quotations with the hour unlike the traditional offline promotional products companies.

If it's Good Enough for Shirley Valentine... - Travel - Destinations

This small green island in the Aegean sea, part of the Cyclades group, attracts holidaymakers back year after year, but also boasts international stars and famous people as its regular summer visitors. After all, if it was good enough for Shirley Valentine...

Mykonos Town is the main island resort and people booking cheap holidays to Mykonos often find themselves stating here. Its beauty is perhaps only surpassed by its friendly atmosphere and frantic party nightlife. Square whitewashed houses line the maze of narrow cobbled streets filled with colour by the blue wooden shutters and flower filled balconies. Geraniums, colourful herbs and bougainvillea cling to every wall as each way you turn is a profusion of vibrant colour and sweet smells.

Down by the waters edge is an area known as 'Little Venice' where the balconies on Venetian styled houses hang over the lapping water below. Enjoy a romantic evening meal here as you watch the sunset over the sparkling blue Aegean waters. You may even be joined by the islands mascot, Petros the Pelican as you enjoy your evening meal. The Kato Myli windmills lie just outside of town and are an extremely popular tourist attraction, especially as the sun sets behind them. The party atmosphere in Mykonos Town is second to none and there are plenty of bars and clubs to keep you entertained well into the next morning.

Paradaiso and Super Paradaiso Beaches often play host to international DJ's during the height of the season and are definitely the places to be seen. Mykonos Town also has a fantastic gay scene due to its chic image and party atmosphere.

If you head just along the coast to Plati Yialos you will be greeted by safe sandy beaches and calm shallow waters, perfect for families. Snorkelling is a favourite pastime or if you're feeling slightly more energetic try windsurfing or water skiing. Take a water taxi along the coast to one of the neighbouring bays and coves or enjoy a leisurely stroll along the beautiful cliff top trails. Nightlife is much more laid back here than in Mykonos Town with restaurants and tavernas lining the waterfront creating a lovely friendly atmosphere on an evening.

This is one of the best islands in the Aegean to enjoy scuba diving from with plenty of wrecks to swim around, colourful corals and fascinating fish.

With a vibrant party life, plenty of water activities, stunning scenery, fantastic nature trails and beautiful beaches, cheap holidays to Mykonos have something that will surely suit the whole family, no matter their age or how fussy they are!

Aa Dekhen Zara and Its Overview - Entertainment - Movies

In the recent times, the movie thats making a good impression on my mind is Aa Dekhen Zara. Apart from having a handsome actor and cool actress in the lead roles, the aspect I like most about Aa Dekhen Zara is a very unusual storyline. Well, Indian directors have produced an array of science fiction movies in the past, but none of them have been successful in portraying onscreen. I think this is where Aa Dekhen Zara may prove successful. The film has a film of Hollywood style chase with magic to complement a full entertaining blockbuster.

Aa Dekhen Zara is the story of a young photographer (Ray Acharya) who is trying to carve out a name for himself but is unsuccessful. One day, he finds an old camera that belongs to his grandfather. He is surprised when the camera takes the snapshots of future. Making use of cameras supernatural abilities, Ray becomes famous beyond his expectations and attains riches. He also meets his girlfriend Simi (Bipasha Basu) who is a hot DJ and both lead a rich and comfortable life. Their worlds turn dark when the good forces of camera attract evil forces too. Ray now has to fight these dark forces in order to save his own life and restore harmony once again. With such an exciting storyline, Aa Dekhen Zara is bound to be an action packed thriller.

This is Neil Nitin Mukeshs second role, his last movie Johnny Gaddar may not have been a smash hit but he left a good mark by giving a superb performance as a debut actor. Aa Dekhen Zara will reinforce his position if he manages to give yet another commendable performance. As far as his fans are concerned, with a fresh face and a million dollars smile, he has become a heartthrob for countless fans. But is not many of his fans know that he is the grandson of the legendary singer Mukesh, who has created a history of melodious music in the Indian film Industry.

Bipasha had two substantial hits last year namely Race and Bachna ae haseeno. Already done many action movies before as Dhoom 2 and race; Aa Dekhen Zara denotes a new height to her experienced career. While this movie seems to revolve around Neil Nitin Mukesh, it is yet to see how much of a credible role does Bipasha have.

Aa Dekhen Zara is directed by debutante director Jehangir Surti. The music of the film is simply awesome with hit tracks such as Aa Dekhen Zara and Gazab. Neil Nitin Mukeshs version of Aa Dekhen Zara is nice and shows that he has inherited some good genes! The song has created quite a ripple in current chartbusters. This movie has raised a lot of fans expectations, since it has been long such an action movie has been made in India. Overall, Aa Dekhen Zara seems like a complete package with good story, music and actors. I hope it delivers a good movie as the trailers promise.

Plan Your Wedding Like a Pro - Relationships - Marriage

Becoming engaged is one of the most exciting things that you will ever experience. Many women find that from the moment the ring goes on her finger until the wedding is over, she will be incredibly stressed out. Here are some wedding planning tips to make your life easier.

Begin saving for the wedding as soon as you can. Although your parents may contribute some money towards it, many couples find that they have to come up with most of the money themselves nowadays. Having a good idea of what type of wedding you want to have, whether it be big or small, will help you determine how much money you are going to need to save.

Don't get too far ahead of yourself. Before you do anything else, the best thing that you can do is book the location of your ceremony and the wedding reception venue. This will help ensure that you actually have a day locked in. Until you have booked the wedding, you should not even bother begin wedding planning. Most couples find that they usually need to book popular venues about a year in advance.

Be sure to put a lot of thought into the wedding dress. It is unrealistic to think that you could ever find the right dress for your wedding during the first or even second trip. Shopping around and taking all aspects of bridal fashion, including the style and material, into consideration is really the best thing that you can do. Also keep in mind that you should have a wedding dress budget before you even begin looking for the perfect dress.

Don't forget about the attire of everyone else in the wedding. The bridesmaids, groomsmen, and the groom himself should all look stunning for your wedding. Keep in mind that the colors that you choose for your wedding are likely to have a huge impact on the way that everyone in your wedding looks. Putting a lot of thought into the wedding day attire that everyone else will wear is very important.

Always remember the minor details of wedding planning. Everything from the linens on the tables at the reception to the flavor of the wedding cake are things that you will need to decide on. The florist, the DJ, the invitations, and probably a wedding planner are some of the decisions that you are going to need to make when preparing for your special day. While these all may seem like minor decisions, it is important to remember that they are memories that guests will have about your special day for years to come.

There is no reason to make planning your wedding any more stressful than it needs to be. The idea of getting everything done in time can seem stressful, but the best thing that you can do is be patient about it. Having a positive attitude will help ensure that your wedding will be memorable for you and everyone who attends it. Whether it is big or small, your wedding should be perfect in every way.

Items To think about When Investing in New Headphones - Technology

What amount funds you'll need to make investments to possess the headphones that can be one of the best to suit your needs is dependent on the elements you intend on undertaking using your headphones.

DJ Headphones differ dramatically in fee, commencing with the $20-30 vary, as much as around $1000.

Huge priced headphones tend to be costly for 2 explanations: Isolation and Accuracy.

Isolation are usually defined as just how efficiently the headphones retain out outside the house audio, just like the sound from the club or even the infant screaming while in the aircraft seat in back again of you whilst you are attempting to snooze. The greater effective your headphones are at isolation, the greater high priced they are heading being.

Accuracy is extremely imperative, and that is the explanation quite exact headphones are incredibly high-priced. If you hear into a monitor on your own personal computer speakers, then hear on the correct equivalent tune in your auto radio you will recognize which they can audio absolutely diverse.

It truly is for the reason that speakers and headphones that are not significant top notch in most cases have faulty frequency response. For this reason specified audio frequencies may perhaps be louder or quieter than they will be. To illustrate, your laptop computer speakers almost certainly have tiny or no bass frequency response. You are not likely to acquire that subwoofer kick from the notebook . Conversely , if you should listen to a monitor on that significant subwoofer you mounted inside of your trunk, you might be most certainly gaining far excessive bass, instead of plenty of treble or mids.

Preferably, being a professional DJ or musician you would like headphones or speakers which have a flat frequency response. It will indicate that if you happen to hear to some tune, the audio you listen to is exactly the way in which the recording engineer combined it, without any incorrect frequency boosts.

This is often crucial, seeing that you choose your mixes to audio specifically a similar on phase or from the club because they did any time you ended up listening to them in your house.

So what volume of isolation and accuracy will you really require? Effectively, that is dependent on that which you would really like rely on them for. Let us say as an example, that you happen to be DJing an affordable essential function at a college, you happen to be spinning other people's tracks instead then remixing tracks beforehand or engaging in anything at all much too difficult. Or even you simply need a dependable pair of headphones for informal listening.

Both way you would possibly be great by having a set of Shure SRH 440s. These headphones audio excellent, they present you with a great, pretty flat response, and therefore are also built properly which suggests they're going to final countless several years. Additionally they are very effectively padded plus they sit carefully across the ear to offer excellent inactive isolation. I would seriously propose these headphones for virtually anyone from the informal person, to somebody who is hoping to obtain a bit additional significant about songs, but isn't totally specialist at this time.

Then again, in case you are focused on remaining a professional DJ, DJing significant clubs wherever you perform your rather private remixes and cue up each and every monitor, in that scenario you can expect to quite possibly need a pair that is far more exact and isolating, that can assist you pay attention on the monitor in your own headphones above the songs at present wailing from the speakers.

Ultrasone DJ1 Professional headphones are fantastic for really serious DJs. They are meant to defend your listening to by lessening the true decibels pounding with your eardrum, whereas trying to keep precisely the same perceived decibels. So that they equally as loud as other DJ headphones but your ears just take 40% a lot less abuse. Amazing particularly if you are going to be while in the combine for an prolonged timeframe. Not as excellent, however, if you are on the restricted price range.

Internet Radio - A brief history - Internet

Internet Radio is certainly not a new phoenomenon. From the inception of the world-wide-web there was always some course of action for streaming content. Was it a good method? Unfortunately, back in those days, certainly not. As the web evolved so did the miracle of streaming audio and the World Wide Web was ultimately flooded with web-based radio options. This went on for some time and individuals eventually came to accept internet radio as an incredible free alternative to XM, FM, and most all other types of radio. The downside? They were tied to their hulking personal computers to use it.

Enter the iPhone. The very first smart phone to incorporate an easy to use internet radio option, also one of the very first phones to have a Shoutcast App. Now, suddenly, your personal audio library was overshadowed by terabytes of songs all getting braodcast live at random from countless numbers of shoutcast servers. This is how the revolution began. Needless to say corporate america was not content with all this no cost music being braodcast and commenced a series of litigations to prosecute the very men and women supplying the world with this beneficial resource.

Their giant corporate bank accounts were almost enough motivation to pressure Shoutcast.com out of the music business altogether. At one point their web site was off-line for just about 2 weeks. This followed shortly on the heels of random litigations against college students for sharing songs on campus. Regrettably for big business their high-handed moves only resulted in more determination on the part of the people sharing, including the individuals hosting their own stations. Multiple new pieces of sharing software cropped up, Bit-Torrent was born, and the shoutcast streaming plug-in for Win-Amp got a major update. Soon, there were so many active internet radio stations they simply just could not be kept track of.

Then big business and johny law got an idea, a real brain-splitter. If you can't beat them, join them, but charge them a bit. Last.FM, Pandora, Spotify, Raphsody, and even Microsoft made the decision to get in on the internet audio revolution. They offered a "premium" streaming service for $5-$25/mo. The world, myself included, was slow to jump on the pay for play bandwagon. Microsoft released the Zune in an attempt to compete with the iPod and failed miserably. Creative released several portable MP3 players, like iRiver, which by no means took off either. The world was speaking and no one was listening. If it wasn't straightforward, and it wasn't convenient, they weren't about to spend $299.00 on it. What on earth is much easier than streaming music?

Enter Android, and with it an utter and complete explosion of people streaming audio on the go. There were a handful of trusted players available for free from the Android store, including rare content like live feeds from Police Radio, live DJ sets, and broadcasts from concerts. Now, enter the iPad. 14 Million units sold in the first 6 months alone. Not only can this stream Web-Based Radio from all around the world it can do it so many different way it's ludicrous. We now have more options for listening to streaming music than ever before. Of course, this comes with a downside.

We now have a whole lot of stations individuals are running just to say they're running a station. They don't put much more than a few hours per week into programming, and the sound is a clear reflection of their lackluster efforts. Shoutcast is riddled with stations like this. In my frustration I turned to searching google for Internet Radio Directories, which I am glad to report has led me to some interesting content.

To be specific, Foreign Radio. I have to be honest, Spanish Radio just isn't my bag. Now Japanese Radio, that I can get into. That's just the tip of the iceberg though. French Radio, German Radio, even German TV is now streaming online. If you want to enrich your life with a little foriegn culture it has never been less difficult. One mouse click away.

I've said a lot in this article about web-based radio but not really given proper thanks to the people who make it a reality. Thank you streamers for dedicating your personal computers, bandwidth, and time to making it possible for us to share in your musical revelations. We are eternally grateful.

Internet Radio for Free? It's Not a Dream! - Entertainment

If you think that listening to music for free online is more of a pipe dream instead of reality, think again. You really can listen to internet radio for free, if you know where to look. With online radio websites, you can listen to all of the music you want - without paying a single cent!

How does it work?

All you need to listen to internet radio for free is an internet connection. Whether you're connected on your computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone, you can log on and find thousands of internet radio stations that play everything from talk radio to classic Gospel music.

How do you find a station?

Once you're logged onto an online radio website, it's easy. You can browse stations either by genre or by city. So, if you want to listen to any of the radio stations from your hometown on the other side of the country (or even on the other side of the globe!), you can do just that. Or, if you want to listen to a variety of talk radio - and you don't care what city it's being broadcast from - you can do that, too. Since you're listening to radio on the world wide web, you will have your choice of stations from around the world.

Are these real stations, or are they computer-generated playlists?

When you listen to internet radio stations, you are listening to a live stream of a real radio station's signal. It will be just like listening to the same station on the radio in your car or on your home stereo - complete with all of the commercials, traffic updates, morning shows, and DJ's. The only difference is that your signal is being transmitted through your internet connection, instead of through a traditional antenna. That way, you will get to listen to playlists that are organized by real, professional DJ's - instead of music that's being randomly thrown together by a computer. And, as an added benefit, you won't have to worry about the static and interference that comes with a traditional antenna!

But is it really free?

Lots of music websites say they offer free music - but then they hit you with things like listening limits, hidden fees, and email lists that you're required to sign up for. Luckily, when you log onto an online radio website, you don't have to worry about any of that. Instead, you get to listen to the music and talk radio you want, without any strings.

Guide in Picking a DJ - Entertainment

A DJ's role in events cannot be underestimated. Hiring a DJ is most appropriate when you are throwing a low-budget party and you cannot afford to get a live band to play. DJ's may not be as fun to watch as live bands, but they can also put life to your party. DJ's can interact with the audience as much as bands do. There are certain things that should be taken into account when getting a DJ.

1. Reputation - It's a little difficult to find good DJ's in your town. You have to listen to recommendations from friends or family. Ask people who have recently hosted parties. Before you could verify the reputation of a DJ, you have to know much about him. You can first check ads for disk jockeys in town. A DJ who can afford to promote himself is probably earning well. He's earning well because he has a lot of clients. He probably has a website. If he's that popular, you should be able to find him on the internet. The next thing to do is go see what his previous clients say about him.

2. Playlist - Most disc jockeys seem to play the same songs, but a lot of DJ's specialize in certain genres. Those working at disco clubs, are able to do mixes of dance, R&B, and hip-hop beats to entertain the crowd. They do remixes of popular songs on the radio too. If you are doing a rave party, disco club DJ's can get the crowd grooving all night long. There also DJ's that specialize in special and formal occasions that do not require heavy dancing. However, you could find versatile disc jockeys that have a wide range of music and can play on any event. It's worth to ask DJ what kind of music he is comfortable playing. His playlist would speak for himself though.

3. Experience - Someone said that it's rude to first ask a DJ about how much he's charging. A DJ cannot possibly give cost details unless you have talked together about the details of the party. Before you could ask about his charges, know about his experience first. How long has he been playing music on events? What kinds of events does he usually provide services for? A seasoned DJ can provide you a good list of tracks that can be well played on the event you specify.

4. Equipment - Disc jockeys do not ask clients for equipment. They bring their own equipment to the place. Typical DJ equipment includes sound system and disco lighting. The sound system includes a player (or a PC with a playlist), mixer, amplifier, huge speakers, and cables. The quality of the equipment partly determines the reputation of the DJ. The best DJ's in town use sophisticated equipment that produces high quality sound. No matter how great the songs are, if the equipment is old and worn out, the party experience may turn out dreary. 5. Price - Finally, you have to ask about the price of his services. Keep in mind that if you go for top disc jockeys in town, you have to prepare for higher than average service costs. Get a DJ that offers reasonable service cost--not one that offers the lowest price.

1. Stay Consistent It's easy to get caught up in the next big thing. Don't compare your brand against what your competitors are doing. Create a persona for your franchise, and then stick to it. This means thinking of your franchise as a living, breathing person. You may even give it a personality, and a name. Then, test this out with your peers and make sure it translates. There is nothing worse than causing confusion. Ensure that your logo and whatever tagline you use is in keeping with the look and feel of the franchise brand as well. This means chipping away at the finer details of color schemes and fonts. However, don't forget to be creative and have some imagination. But do keep in mind that once you've developed all of this, you have to make an effort to stay within those lines.

2. Be Supportive Give your franchisees an easy means to advertise within their local community. Often times when mass marketing messages are developed from head office, something gets lost in translation. Each location has something different about it. In turn, ensure that some messages are also coming from the individual location itself. Embedding the location-based messages within the community means that it stands a chance to become indispensable. A marketing brochure or training seminar may help some franchisees figure out how to strategically get into the communities. One way to do this, is to offer an incentive. For those franchisees that will advertise locally and engage the community, offer financial support of some kind. Create print ad templates for them that they can use to advertise in local newspapers. Give them promo items, banners, etc. Therefore, with your support the franchisee can stay true to the parent brand. That means acting as if your franchise is th
e parent, and each location is a child. To ensure success, parents need to equip their children with the skills needed to succeed. Equally, your franchise must do the same for each individual franchisee and be truly invested in their success within their respective communities.

3. Giveaways and Strategic Participation There's nothing like a free giveaway that gets people excited, and when they're excited they tell everyone they know. To get notoriety within the community get introduced to the influencers. Those are people that everyone may listen to. Most likely they're local celebrities - reporters, editors, radio DJ's, essentially anyone who gets paid to have a voice. This may mean sending some of your franchise products to your local radio station. Most likely, if you do this on a weekly or monthly basis, the influencers will get excited about what to expect next. They'll look forward to it on a personal level, and tell everyone they know. Word-of-mouth is the best advertising that money can't buy. Because they've tried it, they'll be more likely mention your franchise in print or on the air. If they're impressed and love it, they'll Tweet, Share, Stumble, Tumble, and blog about it.Or try being a giver. The local charities and organizations wi
thin your community could always use a hand, and your franchise could always use the word-of-mouth. Try supporting local sports teams, museums or even create an event of your own to raise money for a charity of your choice. The charity carwash has been around for good reason. Support police precincts, local artists, fire stations - basically do anything and everything to get the word out to the community that this franchise "cares" for the community. At the end of the day, if customers see you care, and they like you, they'll be more likely to return the favor. They'll buy from you.

4. Listen There's a reason why the soapbox was invented. People will always have an opinion and they'll want to voice it. Arrange it so that your franchisees have a voice too. Provide them with a space, whether it's physical or virtual where they can share their opinions, concerns and thoughts. If it's a virtual space, create a backend website, just for franchisees to have access to. Or open up a private group on Facebook. Additionally, feature an annual in-person event as well. If different franchisees connect and discuss their efforts, they'll be stronger together and for the entire franchise brand. Make sure that you bring a pen and pad. Listen to their concerns, whether they center on marketing, advertising or operations. Perhaps, this might even solve a few bumps or create a new campaign.

5. Incentives for Your Staff Have you ever walked through the halls of creative spaces like universities? They're plastered with posters that invite you to share and participate for rewards and incentives. If you do the same within a designated space just for employees, it will also create buzz and motivation. Make the franchisees and employees a part of a national campaign. Getting them involved means equipping them with the items needed to succeed. These are things within a company that increase retention and loyalty. Think of your franchisees as the face of the brand. Therefore, to represent the franchise they must have the proper training in order to portray the brand in the best possible light. You now know that you don't need to be a McDonald's to build a strong empire. The fastest way to build a franchise empire is through consistency. These 5 points can help you maximize your business, grow your franchise brand & generate business through local efforts. These will
help you create a unique persona, provide excellent customer service and create loyal lifers for your franchise.

Techniques From The Milton Model We Can Use In Speech - Self Help

A tag question is something that is added to the end of a sentence that turns it into a question. You have heard of such a question, have you not? Well, most of the time it is easy to identify such tag questions, is it not?

Also, learning how to use tag questions is easy, right? We can use tag questions to influence the acceptance of a particular statement and it is very easy to use, don't you think?

Generate at least twenty of your own tag question patterns.

Selectional Restriction Violation is a fairly complex term but it comes from linguistic origins. To selectionally restrict something, I might deliberately propose a particular direction of meaning. For instance, if I said, "My professor is pregnant!" The term "pregnant" actually restricts my choice of gender and therefore, it is implied that my professor is female.

Likewise, if I said, "The ball entered the hoop."I would have to presume that the restriction in the type of game I am playing is likely to be basketball. Notice that the features of the ball are all modified by the words. When we use a Selectional Restriction Violation, we deliberately violate the actual characteristics of a particular object to mean something else.

An Extended Quote refers to situations where you are quoting from another source that you may or may not have experienced yourself.

So for instance, you talk about the time when you listened to the DJ on the radio, asking a caller on the program what she wanted to achieve in life. And the answer that the caller said related to the last time she conversed with her husband, when they planned the future, where he said that, "The future is full of opportunity"

Such Extended Quote allows you to nest different kind of realities into different perspectives, all in one single statement. There was a time when Richard Bandler told John Grinder that Extended Quotes are important because Milton Erickson was able to use Extended Quotes to embed suggestions, to help a person's unconscious development of learning.

A Conversational Postulate is usually a request. If you have rapport, it is typical for someone to ask a question that elicits an action instead of an answer. For instance, I may ask, "Could you pass me the salt?"

Traditionally, it could be answered as a question. However, in such an instance, it is normally treated as a request for action. Here you have it, some of the techniques taught in the Milton model that we can apply in our everyday speech.
