The Evolution Of Dance Music

Dance music has been doing the waves in not only the clubs but everywhere in the world, endorsed by the clubbers and a Dance DJ's haunt. DJs all over the globe have been experimenting and adding up to the evolution of dance music, rather than adding their own unique and quintessential elements in it. Dance music started with the main genres of House music, Trance music, Garage music, and Drum & Bass music, to nurture and grow into various sub genres. Now it is difficult to differentiate, but each of them was created with a solidarity and uniqueness of its own. Rendering it into various other forms and blending with them to give a completely new experience. When coupled with various other forms such as R&B, Hip-Hop, Rap, etc and with vocals, dance music is taken to another level.

The history of House music tells us that from the beginning it has been a dance DJ's favourite, since its emergence in Chicago. While the garage music developed in New York, especially to render the House with a more soulful, smooth and raw touch. Garage music became equally popular in the UK, where it also known as UKG. However, its reputation suffered due to the atrocious violence, which was associated with it over a time. Nonetheless, it was revived and the new skool' garage music came into being.

Garage music became immensely popular. This became evident with the number of sub genres of it that came into existence during the 1990s. Some of them that include this sub genre are the Speed garage, the 2-step, the new dark swing, the Dubstep, the Breakstep, the Grime, and the Bassline. Few would not be acquainted with Trance music. It is needless to mention that some of the Djs like Dj Tiesto and Dj Paul Van Dyk have been doing a remarkable job with their dance music. Trance music also arose from the House music, but it also had its inspirations from Ambient, Industrial, and Electronic forms of music. The earliest trance music has been from the acid house movement, of which the most conspicuous were What Time Is Love?', 3 a.m. Eternal', Kylie said Trance' and Last Train To Transcentral'. Trance music too developed into a multitude of genres. The important ones include Classic Trance, Acid Trance, Progressive Trance and Uplifting Trance (also known as Anthem Trance o
r Epic Trance or Stadium Trance), then there are others such as the Euro Trance, Vocal Trance, Ambient Trance, Dream Trance, Goa Trance and Psychedelic Trance.

Indeed, with such great numbers of offshoots it can be easily figured out how much dance music has evolved in the present times. Similarly, we have another form of electronic dance music, called the Drum & Bass Music. It took the centre stage in the middle of the 1990s. It envelops breakbeats, bass, infra bass, and sub bass elements. Originally, it had its beginning in Bristol and London in UK, from where it spread to gain grounds across the sea.

iAutoblog the premier autoblogger software
